9 Days Remarkable Adventure in Uganda

In these 9 days Uganda safari, stress and negative perception are watched away; as each destination and day welcomes yours with lots of attractions to admire. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary exposes you to the rare white Rhino species, Murchison Falls National Park; not only has 4 of Africa Big 5 (lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes), but also the world’s most powerful waterfalls; Kibale for chimps, Queen Elizabeth National park for the tree-climbing lions, Bwindi impenetrable national park to trek mountain gorillas and an epic encounter at equator.

Activities wrapped in this offer include among others; game drives, boat cruise, Rhino trekking, chimpanzees, cultural encounter, swamp walk, city tour and gorilla trekking. The trip starts at Entebbe international airport and ends in Kigali city.

Detailed trip.

Day 1: Arrival and Cultural Tour.

As you arrive at Entebbe international airport, our company representative will happily meet and brief you about the entire 9 days tour in the Pearl of Africa. You will visit the reptile Village to learn about the different reptile species and their uniqueness. These reptiles include snakes, tortoises, snails, hedgehogs, motor lizards and chameleons among others.

Thereafter, you will head for lunch at Ndere Cultural Centre, before ending the city tour with a visit to the museum. Proceed with the drive to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park – Rhino Tracking.

At sunrise, you will enjoy a breakfast meal, and then checkout for a transfer to Murchison fall national park; a 5-6 hour drive, through a route marked by busy towns, happy natives, and plantations. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a one-hour rhino trekking, followed by lunch.  This day will be closed with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Game viewing and boat ride.

At daybreak, breakfast is the first thing, and then a 3-4 hour games drive in the vast Northern Region of Bwindi Murchison Fall national park. The game you have the chance of spotting is not limited to; lions, leopards, herd of elephants, a herd of buffaloes, Uganda kops, Jackson’s hartebeests, warthogs, zebras and many more. The northern sector is not only vast, but also very beautiful, and offering asylum to birds, unique plants and primates.

Have a lunch break, before heading for an afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the most powerful waterfalls on earth, the thundering Murchison falls. Not only will you spot the Nile crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds, but also watch the waterfalls itself and explore its heart after a walk to the top. There will you see a permanent rainbow on a lucky day. End the day at the lodge with dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a full day drive to Kibale forest national park; home to over thirteen primate species. It is an 8-9 hour epic drive, with plenty to admire; the active towns, tasty cuisine during lunch, flourishing plantations and scattered African local homesteads. You will arrive and check in to your lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Forest experience.

Upon sipping the last dot of tea, visit the park headquarters for a classic chimpanzee trekking experience; an activity that lasts for approximately 1-6 hours, with a bonus of one hour for photos and watching the apes feed, climb trees and make a very exciting sound. Chimps are humans’ closest relatives, with over 98% similar genes. The chimps co-exist with several other residents; the Columbus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and several others.

In the same destinations, you stand a chance of identifying several other residents, such as the forest elephants, bats, plants, and birds among others. Thereafter return to the park headquarters for Lunch, followed by an evening boat guided nature walk at one of the most rewarding Ramsar sites in the country; Bigodi swamp; with the local natives carrying with the local chores, and also at the presence of birds and baboons. Let the sunset send you back to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After a yummy cup of coffee early morning, you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park; the most visited Game Park in the country. There drive offers amazing views of undulating hills, a captivating landscape and green vegetation. You will have lunch at the park but snacks along the way.

Upon arriving at the lodge, spend the evening relaxing, enjoying the cool breeze and several other things. Dinner and overnight stay come last.

Day 7: Game drive and Boat cruise.

At birds call, you will have breakfast and head to the animal kingdom for a 3-4 hour game drive. As other mammals rise for the fresh pasture, you will hope to also encounter the night hunters; the lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs among others. Easily seen residents include; elephants, buffaloes, Giraffes, and several other antelope species. There is a complete feel of the bush, as the birds will be flying, captivating landscape all around and a variety of plant species.

The camera and binoculars are put to task for about three hours, before you return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a boat ride at Kazinga Channel. For 2-3 hours; enjoy the cool breeze, while spotting the Hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds and other mammals by the shores. Thereafter drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Tracking the tree climbing lions and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, via The Ishasha sector, where for about three hours; you will track the tree climbing Lions. These species are rare, but only and Lake Manyara n/park in Tanzania.

Hopefully, you spot one or two at the tree branch as a proof, before proceeding for lunch in the same sector and then to your lodge at Buhoma sector; the first region of Bwindi to welcome the gorilla trekkers. The day ends at dusk with dinner and a nap

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Departure.

Very early in the morning, a guide will pick you up after breakfast for a drive to the park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing and registration. Together with the park rangers; the search for gorilla family of your choice starts; checking the place where they were last seen the previous day, to where they are anticipated to be. Gorillas have huge bodies, exciting and accommodative. Tracking them lasts for about 1-6 hours, plus an extra hour of enjoying their presence.

After taking photos and uncovering the life of gorillas, you will hit the road to Kigali International Airport crossing via Katuna / Cyanika boarder.
