It is an ultimate wildlife experience that takes you through mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and chimp tracking in Kibale Forest National Park.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Entebbe/Kampala for Kibale Forest National Park
Meet and greet your safari leader, later, have a quick briefing on your 5 days Uganda gorillas & wildlife tour. After, begin the 5-6 hours’ drive trip on Kampala-Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal Tourism City route to Kibale Forest National Park.
This park is perched in Western Uganda and inhabits 13 species of primates. Lunch break will be made in Fort Portal Tourism city and after, proceed to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to undertake guided nature walk.
Day 2: Chimp tracking in Kibale & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have a hefty breakfast early in the morning and later, briefing will be conducted in Kanyanchu Tourist Centre in Kibale Forest National Park. Undertake a guided chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale starting at 8:00am.
Over 13 species of primates exist in this protected area including 1500 chimpanzees, olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest monkeys, bush babies, black and white colobus monkeys.
A chimp trek in Kibale takes 2 to 4 hours inclusive of photography and exploring more about chimpanzees’ behaviors. Later, get back to check out of the lodge and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 3-4 hours’ drive through Fort Portal Tourism city.
Arrive early to enjoy lunch in your lodge then embark on an afternoon launch or boat cruise along Kazinga Channel. Enjoy amazing sights of hippos, crocodiles, aquatic birds and many others. Return to the lodge after 2-3 hours on a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel.
Day 3: Game drive & travel to Southwestern Uganda to Bwindi
Have the best of your breakfast and later, be part of the enjoyable morning game drive on Kasenyi Plains. On this 2-3 hours’ game viewing experience, expect to enjoy incredible sight of wildlife species such as waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, birds, elephants and others. Return for lunch break in your lodge and then check out.
Drive through Ishasha area to see the tree climbing lions and other wildlife that thrive in the Southern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After a quick game drive along Ishasha sector, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern Uganda about 3 hours with lunch break in Savanna Resort. Bwindi sits on 331sq.kms in Kisoro, Rubanda and Kanungu districts and it is endowed with over 600 mountain gorillas, birds and other wildlife.
Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking
Set off for briefing on your lifetime adventure-mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Briefing is always done at the park offices by the park official and actual trek starts at 8:00am in which you will look for a habituated gorilla group assigned to you. The gorilla trek can take you 2-6 hours but this usually differs depending on your speed of hiking, nature of the habitat or location of gorillas among other factors. Get back to the gorilla lodge once you are done enjoying close encounter with a gorilla family for an hour and also taking pictures.
Community visit will follow in the afternoon/evening where you will explore more about the Batwa pygmies’ unique traditions, practices, norms, enjoy the dances, stories told by the elders, music performances and a lot more. Have a relaxed evening later on at the lodge after a cultural tour in the Batwa Community.
Day 5: From Bwindi, drive back to Entebbe/Kampala
After your cup of tea or coffee, drive back to Entebbe or Kampala. Have an en-route stopover in Igongo in the western city of Mbarara and photography at Equator monument. Drop off later at a hotel in Kampala or Entebbe Airport for departure flight.
