Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park, about 8 hours’ drive
After breakfast at the hotel in Arusha, meet your Tanzania safari guide for a warm welcome and briefing about the 3 days Serengeti migration. Later, set off on 8 hours’ drive to Serengeti National Park, one of the oldest parks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. To have the best of the wildebeest migration experience, the best months to be in Serengeti are; June, July, October, November and December.
However, Serengeti National Park also protects variety of other wildlife including cheetahs, giraffes, birds, Thomson’s gazelle, lion, leopards, elephants, hippos, baboons among others. On early arrival, consider taking part in a walking safari around the central sector of the park.
Day 2: Full day game drive (including witnessing the wildebeest migration)
Today, you will start your day with a leisurely breakfast and after, set off for long day game drives. Embark on a game viewing experience along the Seronera Valley with expectations to witness the great Wildebeest migration, zebras, Thomson’s gazelles, hartebeest, cats, elands, impalas, the Masai giraffes and a lot more.
Have a picnic lunch afterwards and then proceed with game drives via Serengeti Plains as you head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. This is another remarkable area to have impressive wildlife viewing experience. You stand a chance to sight the big game and variety of birds. After, get back to have refreshment in the evening and overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti to Arusha
After breakfast, return to Arusha after an optional game drive early morning. Catch up with your flight back home if it is scheduled on this day, which will mark the end of your 3 days Serengeti great wildebeest migration.
