Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Masaka
Have a leisurely cup of tea or coffee and after, meet your driver guide. Firstly, get a warm welcome and later, you will be briefed on your 3 days Queen Elizabeth. Depart Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park taking the Masaka through Mbarara route, about 6 hours’ drive.
Your trip will include some interesting stop overs especially at Uganda Equator crossing where you will take some pictures.
The next stop will be at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch break, museum tour and a short hike to the eclipse monument in Biharwe.
Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park and depending on your time of arrival, you may have the first game drive experience through the park. Enjoy this wilderness experience with lots of amazing sights of diverse wildlife and interesting birds. Later, connect to the safari lodge for refreshment and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive & boat cruise on Uganda safari in Queen Elizabeth
Begin the day with a hefty breakfast and after, go enjoy a game drive via Kasenyi track and Queen’s Mile. For close to 2-3 hours in 4WD vehicle with pop up, expect excellent view of African bush elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, lions, warthogs, colorful birds, leopards and others.
Get back for lunch in the afternoon and then leave the lodge for a launch cruise along Kazinga Channel. There are several interesting creatures to capture while on a boat cruise ranging from hippos, crocodiles and beautiful aquatic birds including the shoebill storks.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala or Entebbe (about 5-6 hours’ drive)
Wake up early and have a leisurely breakfast. After, you may have a primate walk in Kyambura gorge to explore some of the existing troops of chimpanzees (optional) or return to Kampala or Entebbe via Masaka. Along the way, don’t miss to pay a visit to Mpambire Drum Makers in Mpigi.
